Luela - Honolulu - One day while I was at work, my co-worker came in and brought her Chihuahua with her. I loved seeing how they acted with each other and I decided for myself that I wanted one too! I wanted one to call my own and have that bond! So I jumped online and did TONS of research on Chihuahuas. I didn’t want to go to the pet store and just buy one in the window. There are too many risks involved, you never know if your pet is truly healthy.
I wanted adopt one from a local breeder. I looked high and low and stumbled upon Tutus Tiny Tots on the internet. I looked over her site and decided to email her just to see if she emailed me back. I remembered in the subject line I put: Looking for a Chi to love…and after that, the exchange of emails came pouring in. I asked Tutu tons of questions about her chihuahuas and she was very thorough. She too wanted to make sure that she was sending her chihuahuas to the right people and that they were educated on the caring of chihuahuas.
In November 2009 after a few months of emails, I was on a plane to the Big Island to pick up my little Mango. Tutu offered to bring Mango to Oahu but I didn’t want her to go through all that trouble…plus I get to go on a little trip! I met Tutu at the airport and she handed Mango to me. She was so tiny and so scared.
Now 6 months later, Mango is almost 9 months and is a very healthy loyal pup. She’s gotten all her set of shots done, and just got over her spay surgery which she healed up like a champ! She’s very smart, and very loving and is always there for me. She also loves my hubby too lol and sometimes if we argue she gets very nippy and doesn’t like it. She loves going to the park and loves to run around with no leash. She’s attached to us so she never runs off. She acts tough but really is a timid thing. I just adore her and thank Tutu so much for giving us this little gift. We LOVE her! Thanks Tutu! :)Â

Andrea - Honolulu, HI: In January 2010 I luckily discovered Tutu’s Tiny Tots web page. I went to the Big Island to visit Tutu’s home personally. I observed that she has her cabin living room setup almost exclusively for the dogs benefit. Everything is very clean, neat and organized. She has 2 connected playpens side by side. This is so the puppies can eat/play/pee/poop together safely. She pays attention to each lucky dog that lives there. She is a compassionate breeder and has a tremendous capacity to love and care for them and their individual needs. After my visit, I purchased 2 long haired chihuahua sisters in February. She sent them interisland on Hawaiian Airlines from Hilo to Honolulu. Their transportation went smoothly. Thanks to Tutu’s example, I was able to set up my own playpens at home imitating her method. This made the puppies transition more familiar and comfortable for them in my home. Tutu has provided patient infinite support for all my questions before, during and after I got my puppies. Tutu also provided me with references from other recent puppy buyers on Oahu. All of them had glowing refernces about Tutu and the tiny tots she raised. Today, a few of them are now puppy friends and we have playdates planned soon. Once Tutu sold us the puppies, she became a lifetime resource, a part of our family & a friend! My puppies are very sweet, loving & smart girls. We are fortunate & thankful to have found Tutu and her Tiny Tots! They have given our lives so much joy!!
Chantal – Maui, HI: My whole world fell apart after losing my long-haired of 13 years, on February 4, 2009. A couple of months had passed and I felt so empty, my entire house felt empty. A good friend of mine suggested I needed another companion right away. I told her it was too soon for me and it would probably take years before I recover or even consider having another one. She told me that I had so much love to give, why the wait and that I’d be thanking her one day, you’ll see! So, with this in the back of my mind, I started browsing through the local papers and internet. I stumbled across “Tutu’s Tiny Tots” and just loved the bio of Tutu, her travels and her passion and love for her tiny tots! I was also amazed that she took the time to write little bios for each of her doggie ohana. I contacted Tutu via email and inquired that I was interested in a long-haired female. Tutu responded right away and told me that Vahine, one of her long-haired would be expecting in early July of 2009. With excitement, we exchanged the necessary paperwork and deposit right away to hold the unborn pup. My fingers were crossed hoping there would be at least one female in the liter. When I got the news that Vahine had given birth to two females, I was off the moon! Tutu made the transition smoothly and very professionally! To top it off, I got the best service ever—she hand delivered my pup from Hilo to Maui since she was only 1.4 pounds at 8 weeks old and very fragile. When they arrived on Maui, she gave me a bag of food, heart guard, vet check records and literature on Chihuahua puppy care. She sat with me for a while holding the little pup in her arms before heading back to the terminal. It was time to say good-bye and I could feel and see Tutu’s sadness. She quietly whispered in the little pups tiny ears and said, “I love you.” Tutu, we can never thank you enough for the joy, fulfillment and love we’re experiencing with Honey Bee Truffles and for giving me my smile back! She is our baby and we love her so, so much! You will always be considered as our extended family and we love you too! Lastly, Melody my dear friend on Maui…..thank you, thank you, thank you!
